We got a call:
“Hello, we need our kitchen hood cleaned for the year.”
Our response? “We need to clean the air duct for the hood as well. Has it been cleaned before?”
The customer: “Yes, about 6 months ago.”
We proceed with a preliminary camera inspection, just to be safe. During the inspection, the camera footage left us… perplexed (and a bit incredulous). Some frames are shown in the photos. The verdict? That duct wasn’t cleaned 6 months ago. In fact, by the looks of it, it had been at least 15 years since the last maintenance!
What Did We Find?
A layer of grease as thick as a decent book, a self-sustaining ecosystem of dust and residues, and a fire hazard that would make anyone shudder.
How We Fixed It:
We carried out an extraordinary cleaning, removing years of buildup and restoring the system to optimal condition. And, of course, we gave the client a personalized maintenance plan to avoid ending up in this situation again!
Moral of the Story:
Don’t always believe it when someone says, “It was just cleaned.” Trust only professionals who document the work done. And above all, don’t wait 15 years for a thorough cleaning!
